BEL Recruitment 2025: Mode Of Selection
Candidates will be tentatively shortlisted for interviews in a 1:5 ratio based on their performance on the computer-based test.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the computer-based test if they fulfill the requirements and their online applications are approved.
For both the computer-based test and the interview individually, the minimal qualifying scores for General, OBC, and EWS candidates are 35%, while for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates, they are 30%.
The candidate’s success in the interview and computer-based test will determine their selection. The interview is worth 15 points, and the computer-based test is 85.
CBT For BEL Probationary Engineer Recruitment
The 120-minute computer-based exam consists of 125 questions, 100 of which are technical and 25 of which are general aptitude and reasoning questions.
Every question will be worth one mark, and incorrect responses will result in a deduction of one-fourth of the possible score. Unattempted or marked review questions will not receive any points. The question paper will only be available in Hindi and English, making it bilingual.
Syllabus For BEL Probationary Engineer Recruitment
The computer-based test’s syllabus will mostly consist of objective-type questions drawn from the core engineering subjects that applicants have taken as part of their individual engineering specialties or degrees.
In order to evaluate analytical and reasoning skills, the test will also include a component on general aptitude. Candidates are encouraged to thoroughly prepare using the engineering degree curriculum.
The list of applicants who have been short-listed for the interview based on the computer-based test will be made available on the BEL website in query form. For the final selection, they will have to appear for an interview. The result of the selected candidates will appear on the BEL website after the interview.
